Uche Sparks Comfortable Palace Triumph at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Even though entering their first-ever continental campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further three points in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, especially following a prior setback against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Grasp the Moment

This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second consecutive succession.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.

Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for development in his game.

The only concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
