Much like the recent storm hit the northern region the previous evening, Manchester City overwhelmed United away at the Etihad Stadium. It was a emphatic 3-0 triumph for Andrée Jeglertz’s side owing to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Hemp. It was a result that firmly established their championship potential as they strengthened their place at the WSL pinnacle.

Successive Losses for United

This result represented consecutive Women's Super League losses for Skinner's side for the maiden instance since spring 2024, putting them seven points off the top team with their championship aspirations severely dented.
